My weekend reset is simple — clear the kitchen, floors, bathroom, and sort the laundry. No deep clean or ’nice to have’. These are bare minimum but essential to start a new week feeling fresh and motivated. I’d heard about the concept for a while but didn’t try it until half a year ago. It fit naturally into my life. For me, the weekend reset is non-negotiable.
Before this, time just felt like one long line without a clear start and end. Seeing the mess building up, I always felt like I had to sort it, had to find the time for it, constantly. That mental load was always with me — and the frustration never went away.
A weekend reset gives my life a boundary. It breaks a long continuous line into clear, manageable units — one week at a time. During weekdays, seeing the house getting messy, I don’t feel frustrated much — I know it’s going to be cleared on the weekend and I can start the next week fresh. The most powerful thing about a weekend reset is not only it resets the physical environment but also my headspace. I feel ready to go through another week, and look forward to welcoming it.
